I have a few pieces from my new series in this show on Saturday night. I would highly encourage anyone and everyone to try and make it out. It’s a great place to network with other artists and is all around a good night. It highlights some of the best underground and emerging artists in Denver so collectors should really think about going.

You walk around the neighborhood after finding out that your kitty, your calypso, your last childhood pet, knocked a vase off the bookshelf at your parents and crushed herself to death. That they waited over a week to tell you ‘cause you’ve been so low. You sob in the dark on the floor of your apartment for hours. Wondering if you’ll ever be able to speak to them again, ever forgive. Not because of blame, but because they didn’t tell you when it happened. You’ve never felt this alone in your entire life. The air feels colder and the walls seem a little closer. She didn’t deserve that.

Second painting of my new series “Vanity.” Although I’ve only been chasing dreams three years and done a ton of shows, when I don’t find gallery representation this year I’m walking away from the art game permanently.
